Stephen D Harper is a final year student on the HNC photography course at Solihull College, Birmingham, England.
He was the 2007 Winner of the Birmingham Post photographic competition and has recently exhibited at the Association of Photographers Gallery, London and the Birmingham NEC.

Although the subjects are only passing through they have been captured strategically, allowing me to manipulate the focal point of the image and assimilate the people as characters in a bigger picture. Strong lighting and composition are key in displacing the sense of "real" with an almost staged, filmic quality, leaving the image open to interpretation on many levels.?
