Life of the forests

From a larger essay exploring the lifestyle, activities and effects of the sustainable forestry industry.

Peter Hoffman is a photographer from Naperville, IL, U.S. who studied advertising at Marquette University, the University of Canterbury (NZ) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before spending a year as a photojournalist for Chicago area newspapers. He has been a printer for James Nachtwey's Studio and is currently a graduate student at Ohio University in Athens, where he will receive his M.A. in photography in June of 2009.
Personal work tends to focus on messages of sustainability through environmental and economic means, and the documentation of midwest culture.
He like to go on runs for miles, especially when it's snowing, around about dusk with ambient music playing in his headphones....because that's the easiest way to get to another planet for an hour at a time. But if he's on the coast he'll surf instead.
