The Nubians

Nubians from Sudan were conscripted by the British Army and brought to Kenya in the late 1880s. After Kenya's independence they have not been recognized as a tribe in Kenya and have faced discriminated on almost every level. Their claim to land rights have been denied, they are denied National ID cards, passports and employment in even the lowest paying jobs. Land that their families have lived on for over 100 years, is now the Kibera slum.
