Silver Gelatin Print

Jeff Graves was born in Belleville, IL in 1966. Since his childhood, Jeff has shown a serious inclination to the arts. His interest materialized when Jeff started to combine his creative abilities with his love for backpacking and the landscape. Over the past twelve years, he has honed his vision and pursued black and white fine art photography. Jeff entered the Art Scene in 2004 with a solo gallery exhibition and continues to show in galleries. He has also been accepted into numerous juried art shows where he has received awards for photographic excellence.

All of Jeff?s images are captured on film and are hand-developed using traditional darkroom processing techniques utilizing the silver gelatin print. Jeff works in a large mix of formats: 35mm, 6x4.5 cm, 4x5 inch and 8x10 inch. The images are printed on Ilford fiber based paper with a matte finish, double fixed then selenium toned for archival permanence. Then they are mounted onto archival foam board and matted with 100% cotton rag mat board.

Jeff?s images are held in numerous private collections throughout the United States and in Europe. He is represented by The Cache Gallery in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Jeff makes his home in Broomfield, Colorado with his wife and daughter.
