This is a series of Finn Slough, a working Finnish fishing community. This community now faces an uncertain future as they become more and more vulnerable to encroaching development. Efforts to evict the members of Finn Slough from their homes are based in part to complaints that the buildings are not up to code despite its quaint charm. Yet even though they are under constant threat of eviction, support has steadily grown in an effort to raise public awareness and have itself designated as a heritage site and thus protected. To date, they are still struggling to preserve their home and way of living.
