Despite economic downturn, the Harris family gave up their American dream lifestyle by donating all of their possessions to charity in order to find a more selfless and sustainable way to live. They plan on moving in a mobile home to a farm where they can raise their family and live in a community without American consumerism. The Harrises confront difficulty in their initial transition but remain confident in their path.

Benjamin Sklar is an award winning photojournalist. His images have appeared in such publications as The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, Newsweek, The London Sunday Times and Time Magazine. He earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2006.
