Beauty Within Poverty
Through extensive shooting assignments in Africa, I have come to see the beauty inside and within extreme poverty situations. It is always the women who display it the most. It is a terrible beauty, but moving to me -- and all those who see it up close.
For the last 15 years, Sean Sheridan has been shooting, writing and producing emotionally compelling stories that elevate both people and brands. Through projects at the Microsoft Corporation like Bill Gates? best-selling book The Road Ahead, the multimedia tour for Microsoft Windows98, and the Web site for Gates? second book Business @ the Speed of Thought, Sheridan gained invaluable production experience before joining IMS Productions in Colorado Springs, where he was both producer and operations director. In July of 2002, Sheridan started 4:Minute.Media, Inc., to concentrate on telling compelling stories through film, photography, feature writing and digital media. Sheridan?s work has taken him to nearly 30 countries, and his work and has been found in SMITHSONIAN magazine, the World Vision Report, KIVA Magazine, and through the highly acclaimed World Vision AIDS Experience. He is currently working on Testimony:Africa, a film and book project about three compelling first-person accounts of AIDS, genocide, and hunger in Africa. Sheridan and his wife, Linette, and children Henry and Olivia, live in Colorado Springs and enjoy traveling throughout Colorado, the USA and the world.
