At protests and rallies, cried out like a derogatory football chant at the opposition, "Who the Fuck is Allah" can be taken, if so desired, as a sincere question. Who is Allah? Who is my neighbour? My local butcher, the tailor, the kebab shop owner, my friend.

Islam is being scrutinised so finely today, critiqued as a broad umbrella. My work highlights Sunni, Shia, and the plurality and diversity of the religion and community as it finds itself today, across celebrations, ritual, and everyday life.

These works were made in communities in London, especially East London, my local area.

Documentary photographer, mainly specialising in long-term coverage with resulting long-form narrative results.
