Alghorra was born in 1997 in Gaza City, Palestine. Since he got his first camera in 2017, he set out to document the daily life and beauty of his city, until the wars changed his focus to narrating the destruction and suffering he witnessed.

Soon his work as a photojournalist began to gain the attention of international newspapers and agencies such as The Guardian, Time magazine, The Telegraph, and Associated Press. His work has won many awards including the Lucie Impact Award, and his photo was chosen as one of Time Magazine’s 100 best photos of 2023.
