Helplessness

The cover photo is taken @ in Mumbai during the Mount Mary Festival. India is home to roughly 50 million youth living in abject poverty. The submission questions the reality of a this young population of india that is simply devoid. The poem depicts the plight of the youngest -

A dream in my eyes,
Can you see?

Every time a stranger sighs,
Don’t bother me!

Somewhere a child cries,
Helpless and hungry,
Wandering left, then right..
Just a glass of water, makes them feel alive.

Yet somehow, he survives & she survives,
For the dreams they sees at night...
the dream that will change their life.
