After the “jolting” verdict as Chief Justice (ironic title) John Roberts put it I have been doing the only thing I know how to do and that’s make art. I’ve been trying to comprehend what this means for my daughter and all women. I find it very hard to celebrate a country that says only half of its citizens can have the liberty that I enjoy as a man. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but only for half of us. What a load of BS. The verdict is grotesque. We should all revel in it’s hypocrisy and heed the warning that none of our rights are guaranteed.
Jackson has been exhibiting his unique photomontages and photographs throughout the US, Asia, and Europe since 2000. His work is in various private collections and in the Paul Sack Collection at the SFMOMA. He was a Photo Lucida Critical Mass top 50 photographer in 2015, and All About Photo Awards 2nd place winner in 2016 as well the featured photographer selected for AAP magazine B/W in 2019, was the 2020 1st place winner in the SFBay International Photo Awards and was a top 5 juror selection for the IPA in 2021.
