Gun Safety Peaceful Protest

On a chilly, rainy day in Spring, a few hundred protestors were standing up for gun safety. The historic Washington Park has been the site of hundreds of protests for more than 150 years. There were young and old, poor and rich, uneducated and advanced degrees, democrats and republicans, and different races and nationalities. All with the same message, "end gun violence." A speaker told the crowd that America has more deaths from guns than any modern democratic nation. The group shared cheers for those speaking of measures being worked on in Congress. And the rain did not dampen any.
