This is a story about people collecting bottles and cans on the streets in NYC.
​This ongoing photographic project has the potential to grow, wake people up and change the perceptions of the canners on the streets who potentially can earn good money.
Americans consume about 5 billion plastic bottles per year. By collecting, we are talking about billions fewer bottles ending up in landfills or oceans.
This is my project where i followed the canner Jose on streets of NYC for a year and helped out at the redemption ctr. 'Sure we can'
I have put a booklet together to pass on and help out.
