Seven year old Abdullah holds up a white homing pigeon in IDP settlement located in the outskirts of Aden in southern Yemen.

Abdullah and his family fled the northern city of Al Hodeidah in 2018 as conflict raged in and around the beleaguered Red Sea port.

The U.N. estimates some 3.5 million Yemenis have been forced from their homes and relocated since hostilities began in March of 2015.

Giles Clarke is a photojournalist focusing on capturing the human face of current and post-conflict global issues.
