It’s hard to believe that one submicroscopic infectious agent could change the buzz of the streets of NYC so drastically. Could eradicate the trademark hustle and bustle. Could morph littered fast-food wrappers into untouchable gloves, masks, and other capes of the pandemic’s heroes. But a walk around the streets—actually, through the streets—downtown these days, tells the story.
