Zion Church in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka was blasted on April 21, 2019. That day was Easter. Easter is the most important festival in Christianity, commemorating and remembering the resurrection of the crucified and dead Jesus Christ on the third day. 31 people were killed at the church, and more than 250 people have died in Sri Lanka as a whole. One of the victims was a 7-year-old boy named Peter.
“Why did my son have to die? I always ask the reason. I believe in Jesus, even after this tragedy. Because believing in God is the only way to connect with my son. Because Peter is with Jesus now.”
