There are only two pedestrian commercial border crossings from Southern Europe into Morocco and they are both in Spain, one is in Ceuta and the other Melilla. I recently photographed both on assignment for El Pais Semanal. Moroccan porters cross daily and many tape illegal goods to their bodies risking the passage and if successful will sell them on the black market in Morocco. The traffickers can be spotted by the funny way they walk because of all the merchadise and goods taped around their limbs. They reminded me of astronauts dressed in layers of clothing.
