Made at Cais dos Cacilheiros in Lisbon after numerous attempts and working through many passing subjects. The aim was to create tension between foreground and background through strong separation of planes. The foreground figure, a woman, is intentionally rendered with motion blur, becoming abstract and unstable. In contrast, a man appears in the background as a dark silhouette, more defined and grounded. The result is a layered street scene built on timing, distance and visual ambiguity.
