This series of self-portraits transforms the face from a reflection into an imprint, a cutout, a trace. Wire holds the fragments together, serving as a fragile, temporary fixation of decay. Age is depicted not as a physiological process but as the blurring of personal boundaries. Gradually, the face becomes less recognizable — like paper crumpled between fingers.

Elena based in Varna, Bulgaria.Her photography is an ongoing experiment.She brings together seemingly incompatible elements:light and shadow, reality and abstraction, logic and intuition.
