WildLOVE is a vibrant portrait of the animal world, blending baroque lighting and studio-like black backgrounds to reveal the “soul” and individuality of each creature. Celebrating the deep emotional bonds between humans and animals, the book is a poetic declaration of love to wildlife, inviting reflection on beauty, vulnerability, and our shared fragility.

Pedro Jarque Krebs is a fine art photographer and philosopher whose work explores animal consciousness through the formal language of classical portraiture. Trained in philosophy at the Sorbonne, he grounds his artistic practice in philosophical inquiry. He is the author of two monographs published by teNeues: Fragile (2019) and WildLove (2025, foreword by Greg Gorman, introduction by André Comte-Sponville). His photographs are permanently installed at the Madrid Metro's Casa de Campo station and aboard three Celebrity Cruises ships.

Awards Pedro Jarque Krebs has received over 250 international awards throughout his career as a fine art and wildlife photographer. In 2018 he was named Overall Winner of Bird Photographer of the Year, one of the most prestigious international competitions dedicated to avian photography.

Both of his monographs have been recognized internationally. Fragile (2019) won 1st Place in the Book/Nature category at the International Photography Awards (IPA) in 2019, and was named Book Photographer of the Year at PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris in 2021. WildLove (2025) has followed the same trajectory, winning 1st Place in the Book/Nature category at IPA 2025, and has now been named Book Photographer of the Year at PX3 2026.

Among his other distinctions, he was named Overall Winner at the 40th edition of PHOTO Magazine France's international competition (2021) and was a Finalist in the Wildlife category of the Hasselblad Masters (2021). He has been a five-time regional and national recipient at the Sony World Photography Awards, and won 1st place in the Pangea Prize of the Siena International Photo Awards for three consecutive years (2020–2022).

He also took 1st place in the Nature/Wildlife category of the IPA in 2021, and 1st place in the Nature Revisitée category of the Festival Photo Montier in 2019.
