These pictures were taken in a slum area, located just along the railway tracks.


The residents of this slum not only live in poverty, but also suffer from potential physical damages caused by passing trains, severe noise made by trains both on the ground and up the bridge, where metro trains and other vehicles come and go.


During my stay there, I've seen many people, dogs, cats and other animals with on leg or arm, or hit by trains in other ways.


Let alone the noises and smells of dead fish and rotten vegetables from the largest market of Dhaka just on the other side of the tracks.
