These images are street notes taken in the historic center of Rome that I frequent for work reasons and where I reside. Almost emptied of the real daily life of the residents it presented itself to me as a stage for the representation built around the tertiarization of its economy (tourism etc) . The elements of life and the streets therefore appeared to me as stages where a superficial and contradictory comedy is consumed. An aestheticization of places behind which one can hear the echo of an emptiness and an existential loneliness.

Raffaele Tuzio is a photographer based in Rome. He was born in Benevento and his passion for fotography began in 1981. In 1988 he went to Rome where he was involved in travel photography. During these years he travelled all around the world. In 1990 he started a collaboration with the italian tour operator sentieri di nuove esperienze, a company specialised in cultural tourism. Raffaele is consultant for tours planning and he directs a long term project to increase the company image.
