After Them

Nearly fifty years ago, Argentina’s military dictatorship caused the disappearance of 30,000 women and men, abducted and murdered for their political beliefs.

Since 1977, the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo have gathered every Thursday in front of the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, demanding truth and justice for their missing children.

As only a few mothers remain alive today, a new generation is carrying on their memory and continuing the fight against oblivion.
