Rooted in the countryside of Minnan, the God Parade is a time-honored folk ritual carried on by local villagers. This series records the whole ritual process, from the solemn temple interior, devout worship, grand departure of the sacred carriage, street procession, household blessing to the relaxed ending of the ceremony. It presents the subtle connection between human and divinity, and shows how traditional folk beliefs quietly continue in ordinary rural life.
