Oldest performing arts in Vietnam vestige is a bronze drum of the 3rd century bc found in northern Vietnam, ornamented with musicians playing for dancers. Chinese performing arts were a part of court life in Vietnam during country Chinese rule. The Vietnamese classic opera, known as hat boi, is an adaptation of the Chinese opera long supported by kings and provincial mandarins.
I managed to attend a play in Ho Chi Minh City with priviledged access behind the curtains for dressing and make-up before actual rehearsal.

Jean-Louis Carvès is a French photographer living in the Paris area. He studied photographic techniques, explored the work of renowned artists, and developed his skills and artistic vision through internships and masterclasses (with Olivier Föllmi, Cécile Domens, Reza Deghati, Jean-Christophe Béchet, Michael Portillo, Arnaud Baumann, Clarke Drahce, David Ken ...). His photographic practice has evolved and expanded through numerous trips abroad, encounters, and exchanges, as well as through his use of drones. His work has been recognized by the Fédération Photographique de France and abroad.
