I’m a photographer and storyteller based in the Netherlands. I’ve always been drawn to people — to who they are beneath what is visible. Currently travelling through Brazil, I explore the country through the people I meet along the way. My work begins with listening closely to someone’s story. From that, I construct an image — grounded in their reality, but shaped through my eye. Working in both colour and black and white, Stories in Light moves between environment and intimacy, using light and proximity to bring people forward, both literally and figuratively.
