This image captures the "Oki-no-shima" island on the Hakuto Coast, a stage for one of Japan’s oldest myths, "The Hare of Inaba." Facing the torii gate standing resolutely on the snow-covered rock, I reflected on the ancient prayers that have endured since the age of the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Matters). By transforming the turbulent winter Sea of Japan into a realm of total silence through long exposure, I sought to visualize the sacred stillness that transcends time. As the snow gently blankets the sanctuary, it reveals a divine tranquility that has remained unchanged for thousands of years
