Poetry of Transience is a series of diptychs pairing self-portraits with elements of nature. The body is depersonalised, becoming a universal form beyond identity. The work reflects on impermanence, vulnerability and the traces we leave in time, grounded in the idea that we are not separate from nature but nature itself, shaped by the same cycles of transformation. It reflects on our shared existence within the same living world and invites a more attentive and conscious way of being. If we lived in constant awareness of our own transience, would the world around us grow closer to poetry?
