This series contrasts the Arctic in white and the Antarctic in black—two poles, photographed three and a half years apart.
Ice figures and penguins echo across vast distances; research vessels appear tiny before ancient glaciers. Polar bears and penguins will never meet, yet they share the same planet with us. Glaciers move on a scale of millennia while human presence lasts only a moment.
In this vast silence, all life coexists across the ends of the earth. How should we learn to live with nature?
