The white ink print on black paper and the Bodoni-style binding with exposed thread stitching are intentional and inseparable from the narrative. The book functions as a physical object that extends the photographic language, emphasizing darkness, absence, and materiality as central elements of the work. Black as the pages is the increasingly uncertain future of these extraordinary artists. The book allows us to delve deeper into the award-winning Circus project and explore the lives of circus performers. So that something of them remains and they don't dissolve like dust into nothingness.
