Mount Takasaki, located in northwestern Oita Prefecture, is home to Japanese macaques. These monkeys and Mount Takasaki were designated a natural monument in 1953 because they are a rare habitat for wild Japanese macaques near an urban area.

"Takasaki Monkey" captures the seasonal lives of monkeys living on Mount Takasaki. From the gentle spring, the escaping the heat of summer, the bountiful autumn, to the winter that connects generations... this photo collection aims to convey the stories of the monkeys, woven into every moment, from the smallest everyday events to the most special ones.

I want to improve my photography.
I mainly shoot animals, plants, buildings.
