These images were created at FAMOS, a major motor manufacturing complex in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The series shows the time of industrial Yugoslavia and the production within it. At a time when socialism was nearing its end, there was anticipation for a more stable and prosperous future. Instead, what followed was the rapid disintegration of domestic industry and the collapse of exports. A site that once employed more than 10,000 workers now remains as a landscape of rust and silence.
