Dromos Festival 2024

Growing up in the turbulent years of the late 1960s, Giuseppe Tamponi was profoundly influenced by the youth revolution of 1968, by pacifism, and especially by the rock and blues music of that era, elements that shaped his cultural, political, and artistic identity. After the disillusionment with those ideals, music remained a constant in his life. A photographer since 1982, Giuseppe Tamponi has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy and abroad, with a particular focus on the music and folk traditions of Sardinia.

Awards In 2023, he received an honorable mention at the International Photography Awards in Los Angeles for his book "Ardia, a Timeless Race," published by Edizioni EBS Print.
In 2025, he received a second honorable mention, again at the International Photography Award, for commissioned food images.
