Concrete Shadows

I sat and observed the skaters at the skate park passing through the stripe of light that was hitting the bottom of the bowl. They created long shadows and I felt it was really interesting. I took a series of shots and this images spoke to me. The motion, the focus of the skater, and the quite of the black and made me feel something and spoke to me.

I was raised in the South but now currently based in Eugene, Oregon. I have a deep love for the candid and the unscripted. I have been shooting on and off since I can remember, starting off with disposable film cameras photographing my friends, family, classmates, and all types of gatherings. That early instinct shaped me into more of a documentary style photographer, drawn to natural motion, unusual angles, and the quiet power of real life unfolding.
