This set of photos was taken in a soon to be demolished community in Guangzhou. Before demolishing their homes, residents move unused and irremovable idle items, appliances, and daily necessities to the middle of the street for sale or disposal. What impressed me the most was an old man sitting under his own building, admiring the multiple green landscapes he had made. Will the landscape plants he continuously irrigates every day be taken away by him or left behind in the idle space of this block? This block seems to be in the final production internally, making its final curtain call.
