When the glow of Christmas fades and the city quietly returns to its everyday rhythm, an unexpected snowfall blankets everything in white. In a world where even footprints vanish almost as soon as they are made, a woman moves forward with quiet certainty. In the freezing air, her figure emerges—holding both strength and tenderness at once. Perhaps beauty does not belong to extraordinary places, but instead lives quietly within these fleeting, ordinary moments.

I am a New York–based photographer originally from Nara, Japan. Since 2010, I have pursued photography independently, using the city as a stage to explore the relationship between urban landscapes and natural light.

My work balances stillness and movement, shaped by a Japanese sense of aesthetics and an intuitive response to New York’s energy. In portraiture, I avoid excessive direction, focusing on the moment when a subject naturally blends into their surroundings.

Through light, shadow, and space, I create images that feel both immediate and timeless.
