In 2025 and 2026, I lived and photographed in Eya Dazhai Village, a remote mountain village in the Liangshan region of Southwest China. Isolated by steep terrain, it has been home to the Naxi people for over 400 years and remains one of the best-preserved examples of its traditional culture.

Through black-and-white photography, I aim to document not only the village’s physical environment, but also the emotional atmosphere of life between tradition and change.
