The river stretches for over 600 kilometres from its source to its delta. Its importance goes beyond the simple calculation of kilometres. Along its course, cities, towns, places and stories follow one another. Cities that were once queens and are now struggling to find a new identity, lost places that collect stories, towns that try to live with the river and build embankments to contain its wrath. Places that do not give up and try not to succumb to oblivion.
