In the blackened forests of Yosemite, the rugged peaks of Patagonia, and the vast silences of the Rockies, I found that the most profound beauty is often born from profound pain. This series, Scars and Spirit, is a visual record of nature’s visceral cry and its silent, unyielding oath to rise again.


Stripping away the distraction of color, these monochromatic landscapes confront the viewer with the skeletal remains of fire-ravaged trees—charred monuments that scream of loss. Yet, within this void, a divine light pierces the haze, and ancient roots hold fast to the earth.
