For more than thirty-five years, I have photographed horses, seeking to capture the rich diversity and quiet majesty of these remarkable creatures. I have published two books devoted to horses and work exclusively with indigenous breeds — the Lithuanian Heavy Draught and the Samogitian.


My process begins long before the photograph is taken. I spend extended periods observing the horses, gradually earning their trust and forming a bond with them. Only then do I begin to photograph. I remain with them throughout the day, following wherever they wander, sharing their rhythm and daily life.

I'm a Member of Lithuanian Union of Art Photographers. Creation was presented in photo magazines: Photography (Lithuania), Foto&Video (Russia), Pozityv (Poland), Vyzdys (Lithuania). Also my works were published in chronicle of Lithuanian Photographers called Lithuanian Photography: Yesterday and Today, Lithuania in Action. Lithuanian Press Photography.
In 2002 published book Photographs.
In 2010 published book Aberration.
