A solitary sapling rises from a field of white, its presence defined as much by absence as by form. Light becomes both clarifier and burden: it reveals the subject while pulling its echo across the ground. The image dwells in the space between being and becoming, where what is visible feels provisional and what lingers carries the greater emotional weight. This work reflects on quiet endurance and the way landscapes hold the silhouettes of things that are still here, and those that have already begun to fade.

For as long as I can remember, nature has been my companion. I grew up exploring the waterways of the Midwest and the mountain ranges of the American West. These places shaped me — not just as memories of childhood, but as sacred spaces that planted a lifelong curiosity about the world beyond the horizon. For me, art is a spiritual practice — a bridge between memory and imagination, between grief and gratitude. Each photograph is an invitation to slow down and connect with the soul of a place.
