For a long time, historical art objects dating back to before the 19th century have held a powerful fascination for me. The artists of that era possessed nothing but their hands and their absolute technical mastery. Nowadays we have, without a doubt, been spoiled by technological advancements. I photograph historical art objects in extreme close-up to transpose these old, traditional techniques into our modern, high-tech world by using a digital camera in order to show the contrast between the old techniques and the new. These are close-ups of the facades of the Pena Palace in Portugal.

I am a Japanese fine art photographer who was born and grow up in Tokyo, currently based in Berlin. My photography shows the difference between what the human eye sees and what the camera's mechanical eye captures.
My works have been exhibited in Tokyo, Sydney, Berlin, Athnes and London.
