Meditation on death is one of my central themes, which I explore from various perspectives—from the impermanence of human endeavors (the abandoned factories in my book "Silent Theaters", Kehrer Verlag 2023) to my pictorialist still lifes of the "Memento Mori" series, to my "Vanitas" works in photogravure. Unlike many, I do not view death as a frightening event, but as a transition that nonetheless possesses beauty.
