Designed by Gerber Architekten, the STC Metro Station in Riyadh draws from the geological formations of the Tuwaiq Mountains in central Saudi Arabia. A layered GRC façade forms a continuous horizontal skin, recalling the cliff layers.


Suspended above a continuous glass enclosure, the heavy volume appears weightless, reading as both a lifted geological cliff and a layered technological system, expressed through cable-like lines.

Andrew Abkar Shenouda was born in 1988, in Cairo, Egypt. He is a self-taught photographer who discovered his passion at a young age. He loved watching and pinning pictures that inspired him.

Andrew graduated from the Arab Academy in Cairo with a degree in architecture. Since then, he has shown even greater passion for architectural photography. His passion has driven him to take photos before getting a digital or pro camera.
