Designed by Zaha Hadid, the Danjiang Bridge ranks the world’s largest-span single-tower asymmetric cable-stayed bridge. The bridge sets a world record: the main bridge 920 meters long, the main span 450 meters, and the bridge tower 211 meters high. Adopting minimalist and elegant architecture vocabulary, the design integrates the famous Danjiang sunset to create the environment combining into the bridge’s aesthetics. The bridge having multi-functional purposes for transportation and sightseeing, it possesses lanes for cars, trams, bicycles, and sidewalks.
