This image, crafted using the photopolymer gravure technique, embodies a transformative journey rooted in my childhood experiences. My parents' divorce at the age of five left a significant impact, leading to feelings of inadequacy and difficulty in forging connections with my peers. In a world where I struggled to belong, my mother introduced me to horse riding, an experience that became a catalyst for change.
In the company of horses, I found a refuge where I didn't have to justify my existence; they embraced me as I was. This unspoken bond played a crucial role in rebuilding my self-esteem,

Natalia L Rudychev is a New York and Paris based artist photographer and curator. Her work has been presented by British Journal of Photography, ARTDOC magazine, Float magazine, The Hand magazine, Aeonian Magazine, Dek Unu magazine and many other publications.
Natalia is a recipient of the Bronze Award at the 2020 Tokyo International Foto Awards and the Third Place winner in the 2021 National Council on the Aging International Photography Contest. Her book of photography and haiku Simple Gifts was shortlisted for the Touchstone Distinguished Book Award in 2019.
