Beyond Setting is a collaborative exploration of jewelry released from its traditional context and reimagined as sculptural form. Photographer Nicholas Duers worked closely with creative director and stylist Michele Faro and glass artist Austin Fields to construct abstract environments where light, material, and gesture take precedence. Featuring jewelry by Emily Wheeler, the series blurs the boundary between adornment and object, inviting the viewer to experience preciousness as atmosphere rather than setting.

Nicholas Duers currently operates out of his photography studio located in Midtown, NYC. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, he specializes in still-life photography of luxury goods, fashion accessories, and beauty products.
