“Women belong in the kitchen.”

For generations, the home has been a place of confinement, a space where labor is expected but dismissed. The woman was an alchemist of the everyday, her only world being the domestic sphere.
In “view from", I reclaim that space. Chemicals used in domestic work become a world of my own making. In these crystal-scapes, the everyday chemicals grow over make-up, rust, watercolours,... These fragile and shifting forms mirror the resilience of women who redefine their roles despite imposed boundaries.

Women were never meant to stay in the kitchen.

I am a photographer who blends historical photographic processes and contemporary techniques. Born in France and now living in Australia, I explore the interplay of light, chemistry and nature to create evocative and timeless images.
