Sur le spot mythique de Teahupoo à Tahiti. Sur la photo, une vague, creusée par la puissance de l'océan, forme un tube parfait qui encadre le surfeur. La tête de l'homme se trouve au centre de ce tube, créant belle illusion : le contour du tube évoque la forme d'un œil géant, tandis que le surfeur, positionné au cœur, en devient l'iris. Le surfeur est en harmonie avec l'océan et semble faire partie intégrante de cette œuvre d'art naturelle.

Marc Lenfant is a French photographer based in French Polynesia for more than twenty-five years. Trained as a geographer, he explores the relationship between people, the ocean and island territories. His work moves between documentary approach and poetic vision, focusing on gestures, traditions, landscapes and the fragile balance between human presence and nature, in Polynesia and during his travels beyond the Pacific.
