Every December, the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, hosts a thrilling dragon boat race along its urban waterways. Under the winter sun, local and international teams converge to compete, pushing through the waves with determination and grit. As the golden sunset bathes the city in warm light, shimmering droplets dance alongside the boats, casting reflections that blend architecture and motion. The result is a breathtaking spectacle—where human resilience, cityscape geometry, and shifting shadows merge into a moment of raw competitive energy.
I started my photography journey at 17, evolving it from a passion to my profession. Initially drawn to dragon boat sports as a photojournalist, I focused on capturing rowers' expressions during races. Over 8 years,I've specialized in dragon boat race photography, aiming to share the profound beauty of this oriental sport with a wider audience. When my subjects view my photos and witness their own resilience and strength, it seems to inspire them to embrace new challenges with greater courage.
